Exercise regime

I am a great believer that the only way to loose weight and improve your overall fitness is to exercise.
When deciding to undertake an exercise regime I spent time looking into finding best cardio workout that encourages the most burning of fat.
What I found is a form of cardiovascular exercise called HIIT, high intensity training.
This method uses speeding up and slowing down of exercise rate in order to encourage a high calorie burn.
I decided to give it a go an I currently spend an hour, five days a week on the treadmill doing the following 8 minutes of warm up, walking at a slow pace and increasing it over time to a fast walk
I then run fast for 2 minutes
Walk fast for 4 minutes
Run fast for 2 minutes
I then carry this on for a full hour then spend 5 minutes completing a cool down
I firmly believe that this is aiding my weight loss and is the reason I have done so well
I wish I could say that I enjoy my hours on the treadmill, I don't! I feel that it would have gone down well as a Henry the 8th medieval torture device and I have to force myself on it every time! However I do know it's something I must do if I want to be thinner and healthier. I have to admit that I do feel so much better after going on it
